Mark Ransley – Tall Tales

Mark joins us all the way from Tasmania where he lives with Mac his dog, in a beautiful spot overlooking a picturesque bay. He is a retired Commercial diver, who now spends his days tinkering with his vintage boats and riding his dirt bikes. He is the Great, Great, Great Grandson of our own 19thC Kentish smuggler, George Ransley, Leader of the Aldington gang who, along with 13 of his comrades’ was transported to Van Dieman’s land in 1826. Lyn met him after writing about his ancestor and he now presents with her on Bexhill’s Brighter Brunch and has his own show Tasmanian Tales Tall & True which he presents with various diving friends and notable Tasmanians. Entertaining and often humorous, but never dull these stories are not to be missed.
